Onfido founder raises 30 million pounds for AI carbon certification firm Isometric

The round was led by AVP, Plural, and Lowercarbon Capital, with participation from angels John Doerr and Walter Kortschak. Isometric operates an AI certification platform called Certify that automates the verification of carbon removal claims by cross-checking sensor data, satellite imagery, and supply chain records. Isometric claims it is now the largest certification company in carbon removal, contracted for over 16 million tonnes. Its certifications are used by Microsoft, Anglo American, JPMorganChase, and Boeing. The company plans to expand its agentic certification model beyond carbon markets into the broader industrial economy, covering green steel, low-carbon fuels, and clean energy generation.
