OMODA & JAECOO Releases Sino-European LCA Report for JAECOO 7 SHS: 120.4 g CO2e/km Lifecycle Carbon Footprint

OMODA and JAECOO released the first vehicle life cycle assessment under the Sino-European Automotive Carbon Footprint Mutual Recognition Framework. The JAECOO 7 SHS report, independently verified by DEKRA, puts full lifecycle emissions at 120.40 g CO2e/km and primary energy use at 2.28 MJ/km. The scope runs from raw material extraction through manufacturing, use, and end-of-life recycling. The LCA gives European buyers verified carbon data instead of vague sustainability claims. The brand also says electrified vehicles made up 92.7 percent of its Spanish registrations from January to September 2026, and it has 71 recycling centers in Italy. The next step is whether the Sino-European framework gets used by more automakers and whether the underlying assumptions hold up across different grids.
