OMODA & JAECOO publishes JAECOO 7 SHS lifecycle carbon report with 120.4 g CO2e/km under Sino-European LCA framework
manilatimes.netOMODA & JAECOO published a full lifecycle carbon footprint for the JAECOO 7 SHS at the 2026 Paris Motor Show. The vehicle comes in at 120.40 g CO2e/km over its entire lifecycle, from raw material extraction through manufacturing, use, and end-of-life recycling. The assessment was independently verified by DEKRA and is the first LCA report released under the Sino-European Automotive Carbon Footprint Mutual Recognition Framework (SEA LCA). Beyond the report, the automaker says it is rolling out a full lifecycle carbon management service for customers. The company also points to Spanish registration data, with electrified vehicles making up 92.7% of its registrations from January to September 2026 and 98% in September. Its end-of-life recycling network in Italy now covers 19 regions with 71 centres. Full lifecycle figures like this depend on assumptions about the grid mix and battery supply chain, so the methodology matters as much as the headline number. Still, publishing a verified, cross-border LCA is a concrete step toward comparable carbon data in the auto market.
