OMODA & JAECOO Publishes First Sino-European LCA Report for JAECOO 7 SHS, Revealing 120 g CO2e/km Full Lifecycle Footprint
globenewswire.comAt the 2026 Paris Motor Show, OMODA & JAECOO launched a full lifecycle carbon management service and released the first vehicle LCA report under the Sino-European Automotive Carbon Footprint Mutual Recognition Framework. The JAECOO 7 SHS shows a full lifecycle carbon footprint of 120.40 g CO2e/km and primary energy consumption of 2.28 MJ/km, covering everything from raw material extraction to end-of-life recycling. The report was independently verified by DEKRA and aims to make environmental performance comparable across Chinese and European markets. The automaker also shared European sales data, with over 62,000 cumulative registrations in Spain by September 2026. Electrified vehicles made up 92.7% of registrations in the first nine months, rising to 98% in September alone. The company is building an end-of-life recycling network in Italy, covering 19 regions with 71 centers, and says it is exploring lightweight design and sustainable materials. This matters because the LCA framework could become a template for cross-border carbon accounting in the auto sector. The key question is whether the underlying data and methodology are fully public, so buyers and regulators can verify claims rather than rely on marketing summaries.
