Oman Climate Week put Article 6.4 of the Paris Agreement at the center of its second day, with officials noting that 129 of 198 countries now have Article 6 infrastructure in place. Oman reported nearly 800,000 carbon credits from three projects tied to gas recovery and landfill gas, and pointed to roughly 112 bilateral agreements globally that have produced around 28 million tonnes of mitigation outcomes. Oman also presented the national carbon registry built on the Meezan digital platform under the Oman Net-Zero Centre. It combines emissions accounting for companies, a database of more than 200 emission reduction projects, and a link to the global carbon registry. The country's updated NDC targets a 33% reduction, with 7% unconditional and 26% dependent on outside finance, technology, and capacity building.
