That is the main issue. Without knowing the accounting standard they are using or how they handle permanence, it is hard to tell if this is high quality removal or just a branding exercise.
Tree planting is fine, but I would rather see them invest that capital into long duration storage or grid flexibility. Nature based offsets are a slow burn compared to actual grid decarbonization.
