Nice to see a small roastery going all in on solar plus battery. The 98% renewable figure is solid if the numbers hold. Curious about winter output though.

Battery storage is the key part here. Without it, solar on a roastery would have a lot of curtailment. Good to see they sized it for the load. Wonder if they export or just self-consume.

The EPC C on the leased units is a nice touch. Most landlords do the bare minimum. Also switching from gas to electric heating only makes sense if the solar covers it. They did both.

Net zero by 2040 for a small business is ambitious. The award helps signal to customers, but the real test is whether they hit the interim milestones. Would like to see their plan for the remaining 2% and the delivery vehicle.

Recyclable packaging and traceable beans is good, but carbon accounting for shipping and roasting matters too. Good they're thinking beyond just energy.
