Japanese shipping giant NYK Line is diversifying its fleet to include carbon capture and storage (CCS) transport. Through a joint venture with the Knutsen Group, the company is supporting the Trudvang CCS project in the North Sea to move captured carbon dioxide to permanent storage. This shift reflects a broader trend in the maritime industry to adapt to stricter emissions regulations and the global energy transition.
