Geothermal energy offers firm, 24/7 clean power with capacity factors around 95%, making it attractive for AI data centers that need constant electricity. Solar and wind alone cannot meet the round-the-clock demand from growing AI workloads. The EGS-Twin platform aims to solve the challenge of understanding subsurface conditions in engineered geothermal reservoirs. The partnership uses NVIDIA's accelerated computing platform and Omniverse libraries to create digital twins that simulate geothermal operations. This approach could help scale geothermal energy deployment by reducing uncertainty in reservoir management and heat recovery.
