In Malaysia, the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) focuses on renewables and carbon capture. However, the surge in data center construction in Johor and Kuala Lumpur is putting pressure on the grid, sparking discussions on whether nuclear power is necessary to reach net-zero targets by 2050.
