NSG Group launches Pilkington Mirai One glass with 35% lower embodied carbon for sustainable buildings
glassmagazine.comNSG Group has introduced Pilkington Mirai One, a new architectural float glass that cuts embodied carbon by more than 35% compared to standard float glass. The reduction comes from higher recycled content and other decarbonization steps in the company's roadmap. An Environmental Product Declaration is being prepared for third-party verification. The product aims to give architects and builders a lower-carbon option without changing familiar glass performance, aesthetics, or quality. It supports NSG's broader sustainability push, which includes alternative fuel trials, carbon capture for furnaces, and recycling under its makechange platform.
