NoviqTech sells software assets to focus on carbon removal via biochar and low-CO2 concrete

The company will instead concentrate on carbon dioxide removal through its Coralia subsidiary, which develops biochar CDR projects and low-CO2 concrete. The deal includes an upfront payment of $200,000 with the remainder in quarterly installments. NoviqTech is negotiating a large offtake agreement with Pure Data Centres Group for 70% of carbon removal credits from a biochar project near the Great Barrier Reef in north Queensland. The company also plans a research partnership with Swinburne University of Technology to advance biochar applications in low-CO2 concrete aimed at the data center sector. Leadership changes include Freddy El Turk stepping down as managing director, replaced by executive director Timothy Brooks.
