Nouveau Monde Graphite is advancing its Matawinie project in Quebec to produce high-purity graphite for EV batteries. The company aims for carbon-neutral operations by utilizing hydropower for processing, reducing the overall emissions footprint of the battery supply chain. With the goal of producing over 100,000 tonnes of graphite annually, the project focuses on creating a North American supply of critical minerals. This strategy helps diversify the supply chain away from China and supports the growth of regional battery gigafactories.
