NorthX Climate Tech has provided $1 million in follow-on funding to Anodyne Chemistries to develop the EZ Formate Pilot Plant in British Columbia. The facility focuses on scaling the production of industrial-grade formates using captured carbon dioxide and bioelectric manufacturing instead of fossil fuel feedstocks. Anodyne aims to produce 10,000 tonnes of formates per year at commercial scale. This process targets a 99 percent reduction in lifecycle emissions, offering a low-carbon alternative for the agriculture, construction, and drilling sectors.
