Northern Trust to Administer TirNua Capital's New Low-Carbon Infrastructure Fund in Ireland

Northern Trust has been appointed by TirNua Capital Partners to provide fund administration, depositary, and banking services for their first infrastructure fund. The fund has raised 340 million euros at first close and targets investments in renewable power, energy efficiency, renewable fuels, clean transportation, and other infrastructure supporting Ireland's shift to a lower-carbon economy. TirNua is based in Dublin and is a joint venture between Keyridge Asset Management and an affiliate global private markets firm. Northern Trust brings experience with Irish Investment Limited Partnership structures and private capital strategies. This deal shows how traditional asset servicers are moving into the low-carbon infrastructure space, though specifics on target returns or project pipeline were not disclosed.
