Northern Ireland dairy farmers to share carbon cutting results at Dairy Conference 2026
agriland.co.ukTwo Northern Ireland dairy farmers will present their work cutting on-farm emissions at Dairy Conference 2026, which runs on October 20 at CAFRE Greenmount Campus. Andrew Crawford and Wallace Gregg, both part of the UK Dairy Carbon Network, will show video from their farms and then join researchers for a panel discussion. The UK-DCN works with more than 50 dairy farms across the UK to test practical ways to lower greenhouse gas emissions. The farms are looking at nutrition, breeding, and forage management. The conference session also includes an update from AFBI's Prof. Steven Morrison and a talk on feeding for sustainability from Trouw Nutrition's Jim Uprichard. The event is free but requires registration through the Ulster Farmers' Union website. It is hosted by DCNI, AgriSearch, CAFRE and UFU.
