Norm Technologies builds software to manage building energy efficiency and cut carbon emissions
eu.36kr.comSwiss proptech startup Norm Technologies has developed software that centralizes scattered building energy data into one system. The platform provides component level analysis of roofs, windows, heating systems, and more. It helps real estate asset managers assess energy efficiency, plan renovations, estimate costs, and track carbon dioxide emission reductions. The software also generates AI reports for ESG compliance and audit trails. Founded in 2022, Norm Technologies already works with major Swiss institutions including UBS, Swiss Life, Helvetia, and Swiss Prime Site. The construction sector is responsible for roughly one third of global CO2 emissions. Tools like this aim to make building retrofit decisions more data driven and reduce the guesswork in capital expenditure planning. The company was named to the TOP 100 Swiss Startups list in 2025.
