Noemi Aerospace has selected Syensqo as its materials partner for an all-electric amphibious seaplane designed to carry nine passengers. The Norwegian company wants to certify what would be the first fully electric amphibious aircraft of its kind, targeting regional transport, cargo, search and rescue, and medical evacuation missions where conventional airport infrastructure is limited. The airframe will use Syensqo's MTM 45-1 out-of-autoclave carbon fiber prepreg and AeroPaste structural adhesive. Noemi says the FAA-approved, NCAMP-verified material lets it build wing skins and spars in a single 21-meter span while keeping structural weight low enough for electric flight. That combination of weight savings, durability, and certification-ready data is central to making the aircraft viable in coastal and marine environments.
