Noctua is partnering with Carbice to replace traditional thermal paste with carbon nanotube arrays. This technology, originally developed for aerospace and satellite components, offers a reusable and durable thermal interface that does not degrade over time. By using vertically aligned carbon nanotubes, the new thermal pads aim to eliminate the maintenance and performance drops associated with liquid compounds. This shift toward advanced material science helps reduce electronic waste and improves the energy efficiency of high performance computing hardware.
