NLC India Limited and EDF France have signed a non-disclosure agreement to explore nuclear energy projects in India. The collaboration focuses on deploying European Pressurised Reactors (EPR) and Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) to expand carbon-free power capacity. This partnership supports India's goal of reaching 100 GW of nuclear capacity by 2047. It follows the SHANTI Bill, which aims to modernize nuclear regulations and accelerate the transition toward a sustainable, low-carbon energy grid.
