Alaska Energy Metals is shifting focus from geological discovery to metallurgical processing at the Nikolai project. With a resource estimate exceeding one billion tonnes of nickel sulphide, the project's viability depends on efficient metal recovery and scale. Upcoming tests at SGS laboratories will define the processing flowsheet, focusing on magnetic separation and flotation. These results will be central to the Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) expected in 2026, determining the project's cost structure and potential for multi-metal recovery including copper and cobalt.
