The ECN has been working on hydrogen since 2023 and serves as the executing entity for Nigeria's participation in the UNIDO Global Clean Hydrogen Programme. The EU supports the summit through its Nigeria Energy Diplomacy Project, with additional input from the German-Nigeria Hydrogen Office.

Exactly. Nigeria has gas and solar potential, but hydrogen needs serious infrastructure. Pipelines, storage, and export terminals are not cheap. The EU support helps, but I want to see timeline and cost estimates.

I wonder if they are talking about hydrogen for industrial heat or just export. Nigeria has a lot of industry that could use hydrogen to decarbonize. But the summit seems focused on production and export, not domestic use.
