Interesting that they want to fund this via carbon credit revenues. For that to work, Nigeria needs a very tight MRV system. If the satellite data shows emissions are 3x higher than current inventories, the first step is fixing the accounting before selling credits.

Community scale biogas digesters are the real win here for the rice paddies. It is much cheaper to handle waste locally than to try and pipe small amounts of gas from a farm to a national grid.
