Another ESG summit in Lagos. The agenda mentions carbon markets and green bonds which is good but I want to see actual project pipelines come out of this not just talk.

Nigeria needs more than summits. The grid is unreliable and carbon credit projects there have verification issues. Hope this one leads to real finance flowing.

If they want to mobilize sustainable finance they should start with the grid. No point in carbon markets if you cant even connect a solar farm to the transmission lines.

The summit theme is about moving beyond greening. That is the right direction. But without clear policy signals on carbon pricing and tax credits these events stay ceremonial.
