Nigeria is pushing local solar manufacturing too. Tax holidays for IPPs and feed-in tariffs. If they can build domestic supply chains, that reduces import dependency and creates jobs. But execution is everything. Seen too many policy announcements stall at implementation.

Worth noting the conference also covers clean cooking and modernizing the power sector. Those are huge for actual emissions reduction in Nigeria. Diesel generators are everywhere. Replacing them with solar plus storage would cut a lot of carbon and save money on fuel.
