South Korean environmental sensor maker NIDS Co., Ltd. will exhibit at CES 2027 and is working to expand its B2B supply chain beyond home appliances and automotive into HVAC, robotics, and smart buildings. The company makes particulate matter sensors, NDIR-based optical gas sensors for CO2 and CO, composite environmental modules, and electronic nose modules for odor and gas leak detection. NIDS says it has supplied more than 10 million sensors cumulatively to companies including Dyson, Samsung Electronics, and Hyundai Motor. It also claims an annual production capacity of 5 million units and in-house design of core measurement components. At CES, it plans to showcase its sensor lineup and new ultra-compact MEMS sensor technology, with an emphasis on converting product introductions into supply agreements. The company is leveraging its overseas branches in the US, Japan, and China to support the expansion. Its stated goal is to grow export revenue by pairing trade show participation with local buyer networks. The press release does not provide specific revenue targets or confirmed customer commitments, but the move signals continued demand for air quality monitoring components in commercial and industrial applications.
