NEP Progress and Impact Report: Teesside CCS infrastructure delivers jobs and UK supplier contracts
worldpipelines.comNorthern Endurance Partnership has published its inaugural Progress and Impact Report, covering early benefits from its carbon capture and storage infrastructure on Teesside. The report says the CCS network has so far supported more than 3,000 construction jobs, placed £2.1 billion in UK supplier contracts, and funded training for 175 young people in the region. It also links the project to the upcoming Net Zero Teesside Power connection. The report includes an economic assessment for a Humber CCS pipeline, estimating around £3 billion in UK gross value added during construction and about 1,800 full-time equivalent jobs each year once operational. NEP describes this as a step toward a self-sustaining domestic CCS industry. The full report is available on the Northern Endurance Partnership website.
