MTN Nigeria has published its 2025 sustainability report in full compliance with IFRS S1 and S2, making it one of the first telecom operators in Africa to adopt the global framework ahead of its mandatory implementation. The report, independently assured by Ernst & Young, includes climate-related risk disclosures on flooding, heat stress, and potential carbon taxes, based on a climate scenario analysis completed in 2024. The company also secured a Carbon Disclosure Project rating of B- for climate change and C for water security. Over one-third of MTN Nigeria's largest suppliers have committed to supporting its net-zero goals, though those commitments have not yet been independently verified. The report is available in XBRL digital format for easier investor access.
