Motorola has launched the Razr Ultra 2026, featuring a silicon-carbon battery that increases energy density compared to traditional lithium-ion cells. This allows for a larger 5,000mAh capacity without increasing the physical size or weight of the foldable device. The new battery tech also enables faster charging speeds, with 80W wired and 50W wireless capabilities. While similar technology exists in some Chinese markets, this marks a significant shift for mainstream carrier-backed smartphones in the US.
