Solar panels on a flat supermarket roof are standard now, but the real question is the energy efficiency of the refrigeration units. That is where the actual load is. Hope they are using low GWP refrigerants.

Agreed. Also, adding EV chargers to a site this size can put a decent strain on the local connection. I wonder if the local substation has the headroom or if Morrisons has to pay for an upgrade.

Net Zero by 2050 is a broad target. It would be more useful to see if this specific site has a roadmap for operational emissions or if they are just relying on the solar panels to tick a planning box.
