Molten Salt Reactors Planned for French Industrial Energy Hub at Fos-sur-Mer
tomorrowsworldtoday.comThree companies signed a memorandum of understanding to build an integrated energy hub in the Fos-sur-Mer industrial basin of France. The hub will use Stellarium molten salt fast neutron reactors from startup Stellaria to provide both electricity and industrial heat to local factories. The phased rollout aims to deliver a reliable, low-carbon energy supply while helping balance the regional power grid. The project also includes a digital platform powered by artificial intelligence. This system will track energy production and consumption in real time, manage storage, and forecast factory demand. The partners are currently working on funding and setting up a new company to run the hub. If successful, the model could be replicated in other European industrial zones looking to cut emissions and secure energy supply.
