Modular carbon capture systems are getting more attention as industrial sites look for ways to cut CO2 without building massive new plants. A new report from The Business Research Company puts the modular carbon capture machine market at $1.59 billion in 2025, with growth to $1.82 billion in 2026 and $3.12 billion by 2030. That is a CAGR of roughly 14.4% to 14.7% over the forecast period. The report tracks the main technology routes: solid sorbents, liquid solvents, membranes, and hybrid systems. It also highlights recent product moves like Carbon Clean's CycloneCC C1, a modular unit designed to capture up to 100,000 tonnes of CO2 per year with a much smaller footprint than conventional columns. Key players named include Shell, BASF, Honeywell, Siemens Energy, Svante, Climeworks, and Carbon Engineering, which Occidental acquired in 2023 for about $1.1 billion.
