Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation has reached carbon neutrality across its four Japanese production facilities for 2025. The company met its target using renewable energy procurement, on-site solar panels, and certified carbon credits for residual emissions. The Kawasaki and Nakatsu plants cut CO2 emissions by over 20% against 2015 levels before switching to renewable electricity in 2022, and a 14,000 m² solar array was added at Kawasaki. From April 2026 onward, MFTBC plans to maintain carbon neutrality through continued reduction efforts. The company holds ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certifications for environmental and energy management. This case shows how industrial manufacturers can combine efficiency, renewables, and credits to decarbonize operations.
