MISC Bhd and Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha Ltd have secured a second long term charter for a liquefied carbon dioxide carrier. The vessel will support the Northern Lights project, which is developing Europe's first open access carbon capture and storage transport and storage network. The new build vessel has a capacity of 12,000 cubic meters. This expansion highlights the growing demand for scalable shipping infrastructure to move captured CO2 from industrial sources to permanent storage sites across Europe.
