Mexico por el Clima and Nat5 Launch Climate Action Alliance for Semana de Accion 2026
mexicobusiness.newsMexico por el Clima and Nat5 have formed a strategic alliance to co-produce Semana de Accion 2026, a regional event focused on climate action, nature regeneration, and traceable environmental investment. The event will take place October 5-9 at Bosque de Chapultepec in Mexico City and aims to expand the Nat5 Live Marketplace into a broader investment platform connecting corporates, governments, and project developers through certified nature-based assets like biodiversity, carbon, water, and soil credits under the aOCP standard. The 2025 edition drew over 4,000 participants and facilitated the exchange of more than one million nature-positive credits without intermediaries. The 2026 alliance targets four strategic objectives: democratizing climate action, building a continuous multisector collaboration ecosystem, mobilizing capital for regenerative projects, and positioning Mexico as a regional hub for climate innovation. Organizers plan to scale this model into a permanent ecosystem that extends beyond a single annual forum. The event will feature three pillars: Catalytic Innovation focusing on climate tech and regenerative economy models, Resilient Ecosystems centered on restoration of natural systems, and Planetary Awakening addressing education and climate justice. By combining Nat5's technology-driven environmental market infrastructure with Mexico por el Clima's multisector coordination model, the alliance aims to accelerate scalable climate solutions and strengthen Mexico's role in regional climate finance networks.
