Mexico's carbon dioxide market is projected to reach $6.6 billion by 2032, driven by a shift toward carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS). The country is increasingly focusing on converting captured CO2 into building materials and fuels, while exploring CO2-enhanced oil recovery to manage industrial emissions. Key decarbonization efforts include the promotion of green hydrogen to clean up industrial heat and power, alongside the adoption of sustainable aviation fuels. Mexico has also updated its Paris Agreement goals, targeting a 35% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and net-zero deforestation by 2030.
