On the car side, Mercedes tested a bio-based carbon fiber composite part using resin made from biodiesel by-products. Outside racing, the team launched the Blue Carbon Collective with PETRONAS to fund mangrove conservation research in Malaysia. Charitable donations exceeded 500,000 pounds since 2020.
