Mercedes F1 deploys electric eActros 600 trucks for European race logistics, cutting carbon emissions
sustainabilitymag.comMercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team is rolling out the all-electric Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 truck across all nine European Grand Prix races in 2026. The trucks will cover roughly 15,000 km over three months, moving race trailers and operational infrastructure. This expands on a 2025 pilot that transported the W16 race car to the Dutch Grand Prix on electricity alone. The shift targets logistics, one of the hardest areas for the team to decarbonize. Combined with HVO100 biofuel use that saved over 410 tonnes of CO2 equivalent in 2025, the electric trucks support the team's goal of Race Team Net Zero by 2030. The initiative also addresses Scope 3 supply chain emissions through supplier engagement and carbon removal investments.
