The top variant features a three-motor setup delivering 860kW of power and 2000Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100km/h sprint in 2.1 seconds. The vehicle uses a 106kWh battery with 800-volt architecture, allowing for rapid DC charging from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 10 minutes. It offers a WLTP driving range of 460km and includes simulated gear shifts to mimic the feel of a V8 engine.

860kW peak is impressive for a consumer car, but the real story is that 800V architecture. Charging 10 to 80 percent in 10 minutes requires massive power draws from the local grid. I wonder how many chargers can actually deliver that kind of peak load without tripping.

That is exactly why we need better demand response policy. If everyone buys high-draw EVs, the hardware is only half the battle. We need the pricing incentives to ensure these cars charge when the grid has excess renewables, not during peak evening ramps.

The power draw for a 10 minute charge is wild. Most commercial parking garages are not wired for that. We will see a huge gap between the car's capability and the actual infrastructure available at the curb.

Another high end EV. It is good for the brand image, but the 460km range is pretty standard now. The 10 minute charge time is the only part that actually moves the needle for long distance travel.
