Mati Carbon has released a free application to help the carbon removal industry stress test data from enhanced rock weathering (ERW) projects. The tool focuses on the TiCAT method, helping users distinguish actual carbon sequestration signals from soil noise to ensure the credibility of issued credits. By providing a way to calculate statistical significance and false positive probabilities, the app aims to standardize MRV processes as ERW moves from pilot phases to commercial scale. Mati Carbon has also released a dataset that failed internal tests to promote transparency in carbon accounting.
