Masdar and Sungrow are developing a round-the-clock renewable energy project in the UAE. The infrastructure combines 5.2GW of solar photovoltaic capacity with a 19GWh battery energy storage system to provide stable, continuous clean electricity to the grid. This project focuses on overcoming the intermittency of solar power by using large-scale storage to maintain baseload-style delivery. The system is specifically engineered to handle the high temperatures and demanding conditions of desert environments.
