Maruti Suzuki is shifting its logistics strategy to reduce its carbon footprint. The company aims to increase rail-based vehicle dispatches to 35 percent by FY2030-31 and is building a dedicated railway siding at its new Kharkhoda facility to cut fuel consumption and road congestion. This move comes as the automaker reports record sales volumes, highlighting the scale of emissions reductions possible when large-scale industrial logistics move away from road transport toward electrified rail.
