That equals the annual footprint of roughly 813 average Americans and sits awkwardly beside Meta's pledge to reach net zero across its value chain by 2030. Meta's own emissions hit 8.2 million tons of CO2 equivalent in 2024, with data center energy use climbing 223 percent since 2019. The yacht's support vessels add even more unaccounted emissions. The contrast between personal luxury and corporate climate targets is hard to ignore.
