The International WeLoveU Foundation and the Kenya Forest Service planted 1,000 mangroves in Tudor Creek, Mombasa. This initiative aims to combat coastal erosion and flooding caused by urbanization and illegal logging in the region. These new mangroves act as natural breakwaters and blue carbon reservoirs, sequestering carbon to help mitigate the climate crisis. The project is part of a broader global effort to restore marine ecosystems and protect local livelihoods from environmental degradation.
