Mammoet has been contracted by Saipem to manage the heavy lifting for the Beccs Stockholm project. This facility aims to capture and store 800,000 tonnes of biogenic carbon dioxide annually from an existing combined heat and power plant by 2028. The project involves transporting and installing massive components, including a stripper and absorber weighing 1,500 tonnes each. These will be installed using one of the world's largest land-based cranes in a tight four-week window to minimize site disruption.
