Malaysia is integrating climate resilience into its urban development through the 13th Malaysia Plan. The government aims to build one million affordable housing units under the Residensi Rakyat and Residensi Madani programs to improve housing quality and safety. Alongside housing, the country is deploying a Low Carbon Cities Framework and a Smart City Framework. These initiatives focus on reducing urban inequality and using digital innovation to lower emissions and build climate-resilient cities.
