Key initiatives include environmental education in schools, online livestream events, and a lights off one hour energy saving effort. Ip Kuong Lam, director of Macao's Environmental Protection Bureau, reported that total carbon emissions have stabilized and land transport has already reached its carbon peak. The city now aims for an overall carbon peak as soon as possible. A donation ceremony from the plastic bag charging scheme and an award presentation for a children's environmental drawing competition also took place.
