Luthmore, a Chippenham company, has been selected to feature its Luthmore One battery-enabled electric combi boiler in the Grand House at Grand Designs Live Birmingham 2026. The £5,000 unit combines electric heating with integrated energy storage, allowing homeowners to use off-peak electricity and self-generated renewables more effectively. It will be demonstrated in the event's showcase home, with an expected audience of around 50,000 visitors. The selection is a notable endorsement for the company, which recently partnered with Wiltshire College to train local installers. The technology addresses two challenges in home heating: cutting carbon emissions from gas boilers and improving energy resilience by storing power for later use. The exhibition runs in 2026 and will give homeowners a look at a practical alternative to gas heating.
