L&T Technology Services has opened an AI-native engineering intelligence lab at its Bengaluru campus with NVIDIA. The lab uses digital twins, simulation, and AI to help manufacturers plan production virtually before running physical lines. The goal is to cut energy use, raw material waste, and industrial carbon emissions across multi-plant operations. The lab covers manufacturing intelligence, AI-native factory design, operations autonomy, and LTTS's EIOne platform, which consolidates more than 100 engineering solutions. NVIDIA provides the accelerated computing and simulation stack, including Omniverse and Isaac Sim. LTTS says the setup supports real-time carbon accounting and lets companies stress-test energy demand before committing materials. For anyone tracking industrial decarbonization, this is a capability announcement rather than a measured outcome. There are no specific emission reduction figures or customer deployments yet. The practical question is whether these digital twin workflows translate into verified savings on real factory floors.
