LSB Industries is moving toward full ownership of the Project Blue carbon capture and sequestration site in El Dorado, Arkansas. The facility aims to capture and store up to 500,000 metric tons of CO2 annually, with completion expected by late 2026 or early 2027. The project leverages US federal 45Q tax credits, providing $85 per metric ton of sequestered carbon. This infrastructure will enable the production of low-carbon ammonia, creating new revenue streams through product premiums and environmental attribute markets.
